In Pile, representation is replaced by assimilation. Pile is an assimilation system where only the relations constructing data are recorded in a non-representational relation space. There is no correspondence between objects in this space and the original objects or events. The Pile self-organizing relation space consists of uniform connective 'monads' (proprietary complex addresses as the only computable objects). Data and data structures exist only virtually in the system and are dynamically generated on demand, similar to a video game.
